-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- On Sunday March 31st, one of London's silliest annual spectacles will take place at Spitalfields City Farm in Shoreditch. The Oxford vs Cambridge Goat Race is returning for its sixth year, and offers a daft alternative to the famous boat race of (nearly) the same name.

Two goats go head to head in a surprisingly popular race that attracts the usual sideshows of food and market stalls, live music, beer tents and a bookie hut for the all-important wagers to be made.

In last year's race, Cambridge 's Bramble the Golden Guernsey won for the fourth time. More than 1,700 fans turned out, and Oxford consoled themselves with a victory in the equally-ludicrous spin-off event, the Stoat Race. The fun starts at 2pm, with entry costing £5 for grown-ups and 50p for children.
