TED Conference comes to the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre this June

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- For event organisers, London is a natural place to host an event with its huge choice of large conference centres. Some are housed within historically important buildings, others are purpose-built, all are fitted with state-of-the-art technology including the latest audio and visual equipment and there are many London hotels to choose from catering for all the business needs of delegates and often located just a short walk from the conference.

On Friday 14th June 2013 the TEDxHousesofParliament event is taking place at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, one of London 's premier conference centres capable of taking up to 2,500 people. The day conference, devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading', will be followed by an evening reception on the House of Commons Terrace at the Palace of Westminster.

Other notable events this summer include the Science Communication Conference where Professor Brian Cox is one of the key note speakers. The event, chaired by science writer, broadcaster and comedian Timandra Harkness, will be held at Kings Place, a stunning canal-side venue in Kings Cross, on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th May 2013.

Also at Kings Place, the MDG Conference which was scheduled to take place at the NEC in Birmingham has now been moved to a more central location. Taking place on Wednesday 29th May 2013, the MDG Conference aims to bring together participants from the private sector, government departments, academia, civil society and NGOs to come up with a draft proposal that will be presented to UN General Assembly on the MDGs later this year.
