Discounts on London hotels available from LondonTown.com

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Leicester Square's Empire Cinema will once again host the Film4 FrightFest this August, running from the 22 rd until the 26 th of the month. Four days of premieres, previews and special screenings will showcase some of the best horror and fantasy films to have emerged over the past year, and booking website London town has revealed discounts on select London hotels close to the Empire, allowing film fans from all over the country to stay in the capital for the duration of the Bank Holiday weekend.

The festival has been taking place at the Empire Theatre since 2009, but dates back to 2000, where the inaugural event had its tentative start at the Prince Charles. The festival boasts an illustrious history of talks, seminars and workshops from some of the biggest names in film, including Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle.

This year, the festival opens with the world premiere of The Ford Brothers new offering, The Dead 2: India, which is being widely-touted as the first international zombie film shot in India. This world premiere is one of ten taking place at the festival, with Zachary Quinto's Banshee Chapter and Christoph Behl's Argentinean apocalyptic The Decent also debuting. Keshales and Navot Papushado's revenge thriller Big Bad Wolves will close the event on August 26th.

For travelling film buffs hoping to stay close to the festival without paying the eye-watering prices usually associated with London's West End, there are a number of discounted rooms on offer. The discounts come courtesy of LondonTown.com, who have partnered with a number of London hotels to cut prices in anticipation of the festival.

The W London Leicester Square hotel on Wardour Street is offering double and twin rooms at a 50% discount. The reduced rate brings the cost of a night's stay down to just £157. The W is literally a stone's throw from the Empire Theatre.

The Thistle Piccadilly Hotel London is just as close, and is currently offering double rooms at a 51% discount, making the cost of a night's stay only £127.

The Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire Hotel is around a minute's walk from the Empire. Situated on Leicester Square, the hotel is offering double rooms from £205 – a 45% reduction on the standard rate.
