Kids to have a golden time at South Ken Kid Festival

LONDON, -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- It's November and winter has started making its presence felt in the atmosphere of London. With Christmas, the biggest festival getting closer, festive mood is slowly turning infectious. Fairs, festivals and events would start kicking off shortly to create a prelude for the big bash. Like elders and young people, the kids will also have reasons fpr excitement this season since many events are going to take place exclusively for them. There would be circus, game shows, rides, movies, stage performance and lot more but the one which will attract kids like a big magnet is the South Ken Kid Festival.

A Christmas sensation for the tender souls, the South Ken Kid Festival is set to return to London for its 16 th edition on November 18, which is just a week away. Like every year, the festival would be packed with lots of fun, excitement and entertainment. The annual competition, one of the key ingredients' of the item would also be taking place to offer kids the golden opportunity of winning some stunning prizes. Kids who have developed a habit of reading would find the South Ken Kid Festival very interesting since the event would include talk sessions where authors of children's books would interact with the little readers. There would be workshops, movie screenings as well as book signings which will open the window of opportunity for kids to meet their favorite authors and artists.

This year, the South Ken Fed Festival would present to kids noted personalities from the field of writing and illustrations like Quentin Blake, Nicholas Allan, Christian Heinrich, Marion Billet, Chris Riddell and Roland Garrigue. They would attend talk and run sessions and would chat with the kids, providing them with quality amusement. Fans of animation films would enjoy their time at the festival, since arrangement for screening of popular French film Le Roi et L'Oiseau (The King and the Bird) has been made. Christian Jolibois would run a workshop on writing comic book and will brief kids on the art of novel writing and how to create a personal e-book.

Shaking hand with favorite writers and artists would make kids delighted when they would meet each other at the book signing session. The annual competition, like always would be the biggest magnet and challenge for the budding talents. The competition is open to all and to get an entry, kids would have to create an illustrated book on an adventurous train journey. Noted publisher Stephanie Seegmuller and chief excecutive of Eurostar-Nicolas Petrovic would be judging the entries and announcing the winner's name. Since this year's competition is being organized in partnership with Eurostar, prizes for winners would include ticket to the Disneyland and signed picture books.

The South Ken Kid Festival would entertain the kids from November 18 to 24 at the Institut Francais in South Kensington.
