Fascinating new exhibition in Ealing showcases images from behind-the-scenes at some of London and the world’s finest museums and galleries.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- A new photographic exhibition at the PM Gallery & House in Ealing opens this week, offering visitors a behind-the-scenes glimpse of life at some of London's leading museums and galleries. The PM Gallery in Ealing is located in architect Sir John Soane's old Pitzhanger Manor House and is open to the public. It is within easy reach of the West End and hundreds of cheap London hotels, whose latest room rates can be found on the LondonTown.com website, London's best website for finding the latest information on cheap hotels in London.

Wundercamera (22nd November – 11 January 2014) will feature 100 contemporary images by a group of international photographers exploring the art of the curator. It will bring together photography of the world's museums and galleries to show how cultural venues display their works – and how visitors behave around them.

The exhibition will show part of Sir John Soane's eclectic collection of art and antiquities (now housed at Sir John Soane's Museum in Lincoln's Inn Fields). The works focus on different aspects of the museum and gallery experience, with the photographers providing diverse interpretations of the photographed museum scenes. Among the images being used is Mark Dion's series Ursus Maritimus [II], a new collection of images of stuffed polar bears that he has encountered in numerous different international museums. Other photographers whose work will be exhibited includes Museum Clausum, Jonathan Faiers, Patrick and Tristram Fetherstonhaugh, Andrew Grassie, Karl Grimes, Vid Ingelevics, Valery Katsuba, Karen Knorr, Louise Lawler, Stuart Leech/Dulwich Picture Gallery, Richard Ross, Traer Scott, Matt Stuart and Hiroshi Sugimoto.
