Why? Because the Young Artist Awards gives future stars their first recognition, and opens doors in Hollywood.

The Young Artist Awards enjoy the privilege of being the very first to establish an award show for young artists under the age of 18 in television, motion pictures, theater and music. They are committed to wholesome family entertainment by awarding
films and television shows who dedicate themselves to that goal.

In addition, through contributions from supporters, they established a scholarship fund for physically and/or financially challenged young artists, who, without this assistance, would find it difficult to pursue their dream of a career in the performing arts.

Submissions for young artists for the 2004 year were due by Jan. 31, 2005. These are usually submitted by the artist's agent and/or manager. The official nominees were announced on March 5th in Los Angeles at a nomination ceremony and party.
