Formally known as The Great Spring Show, the floral extravaganza had been held every May by the Royal Horticultural Society since 1862. This year the Chelsea Flower Show takes place from 20 – 24th May in the grounds of the Royal Chelsea Hospital, with two gardens specially commemorating the 100th anniversary of the First World War. Visitors can expect a dizzying display of blooms, this being the finest of the RHS flower shows, and plenty of celebrity visitors too, with the Queen regularly in attendance.
