Softonic names Gino Micacchi to its Executive Team

Barcelona, March 16, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Gino Micacchi has been appointed Vice President, Product for Softonic and will join the company's executive team. Gino is the first new executive team member named by Scott Arpajian, who became CEO of Softonic last month.

With more than 12 years of experience in the technology sector, Gino joined Softonic in 2011 as part of the product team to manage the company's highest revenue generating products. Gino will now lead Softonic's product portfolio and content operations, and remain focused on delivering a holistic user experience centered on mobile app and desktop software discovery.

Scott Arpajian states, "Softonic has outstanding global reach, with over 100 million users that visit every month. Gino brings the product vision and development skills we need to continue to grow our audience across both our desktop and mobile platforms, and focus on delivering exceptional user value."

Prior to joining Softonic, Gino served as Advisor at the venture capital firm 360 Capital Partners, working actively with the start-ups in their portfolio, supporting the product strategy definition and business development; an example is the crowdsourcing retail marketing platform BeMyEye.com.

Previous to that he founded the location-based mobile social utility Mobnotes.com, where he was serving as Head of Product and Marketing. Early in his career, he worked as partner and Chief Technology Officer at the mobile applications and services boutique Portel.it and as Project Manager and partner at the instant messaging and blogging platform Tipic Inc.

Gino has a Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University Federico II (Napoles) and an MBA from SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan)
