Los Angeles, CA, April 15, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- WiFi PR Group's Indie Anthems Vol. 10 is a digital mixtape primed for indie music lovers of all stripes, and this weeks featured tracks from Angry Old Man and Hot Ham & Cheese string together fast and furious power chords delivered with a punch of east coast garage punk.

One of the best parts about a digital mixtape is the opportunity to hear a number of different artists and genres all in one mash-up. On WiFi PR Group's latest installment of its own mixtape series, Indie Anthems Vol.10, listeners get turned on to 20 tracks from up-and-coming independent artists, all of whom have something fresh to bring to the table, in their respective genres.

This week, Indie Anthems highlights two artist from Vol.10 with different takes on punk rock: "Sugar and Hate" from Angry Old Man and "Cocaine Billy" from Hot Ham and Cheese.

Held March 16-21 in 80+ venues throughout Austin, SXSW showcased more than 2,300 artists for over 150,000 attendees, who were exposed to some of the top talent in underground music.
The festival is a prime source of music discovery and serves as the foundation of success for many new artists and WiFi PR Group handed out more than 3,500 download cards to festival attendees to spread the word about the digital mixtapes featured artists.

For this week's taste of rock, Indie Anthems Vol.10 moves toward dirtier east coast punk rock with "Cocaine Billy" from Cleveland's own, Hot Ham and Cheese. These EST power trio of punk rockers bring the dirt and the rock-a-billy on this track with a powerful, distorted guitar line and repetitive anthemic vocals over punk's classic kinetic percussion. Known for crafting songs about the underbelly of society, and delivering them in hooky three chord punk songs that clock in at under three minutes, this track is one of the new singles from their forthcoming EP X, scheduled for release June 2015.

This week's other featured Indie Anthems track, "Sugar & Hate" is from Long Island based punk, metal rockers, Angry Old Man. The track originally appeared on their debut album Story and Song (2010) and was executive produced by Miles Copeland. The band considers CBGB's as being the venue that gave them their start, which should give listeners a good idea of what you can expect from them: three chord, straight forward NYC flavored punk rock and roll with a twist of metal. Besides a wistful bouncing intro, the track is fronted by lyrics in the classic three chord delivery style and backed by the traditional basic punk rock and roll back beat. But layered on top of that are Green-Day like, anthemic sounding choruses lined with fuzzy metal riffs and pop sensibilities that elevate their sound to a new level. Angry Old Man are expected to release a new album in 2015, tentatively titled, Lung, Lipp, and Chin.

Both tracks can be downloaded from the Indie Anthems BandCamp page along with the full mixtape. "Sugar and Hate" is available for download at: https://indieanthems.bandcamp.com/track/sugar-and-hate
