MBAF adds Keith Urtel as Principal in Audit Department

MIAMI/NEW YORK, October 16, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Keith Urtel, CPA, has joined nationally recognized public accounting firm MBAF as a principal in the Audit Department and Risk Advisory Team. Urtel will cover the Miami – New York corridor. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.

Urtel joins MBAF with more than 34 years of experience leading audit engagements for public and private organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to privately-held entities. He advises clients on complex accounting and reporting matters such as public offerings (equity and debt), business combinations, investments in equity investees/consolidation, revenue recognition, financial instruments, pensions, environmental liabilities and SEC related matters. In his role at MBAF, Urtel will oversee quality control and help grow the firm's risk advisory practice.

Prior to joining MBAF, Urtel worked as an audit partner at a Big Four accounting firm. Urtel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also actively engaged in several civic organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, where he currently serves as the president of the North Florida Council, and the United Way of Northeast Florida, where he is a member of the Audit Committee.

Urtel earned a B.S. in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology, and participated in an Executive Development Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and an Executive Development and Leadership Training program at the Harvard Business School.
