Press Release Body = Taipei, Taiwan – September 14, 2006 – XCome Technology, a global leading application innovator for mobile carriers and handset manufacturers in the wireless world today announced cooperation with Nokia and Chunghwa Telecom to promote its recently launched XLex Web bilingual dictionary service.
XCome launched XLex Web in cooperation with Chunghwa Telecom in June of 2006. XLex Web is a new product in the XLex mobile dictionary series aimed at users whose mobile phones do not have an embedded XLex version.
To make it easier and more convenient for the users to connect to XLex Web, Nokia Taiwan, Chunghwa Telecom and XCome worked on a special design for Nokia’s 6070 which is set to be sold in the Taiwanese market starting in September 2006 to coincide with the back-to-school season. For the phone itself, a softkey on the screen was added which connected directly to Chunghwa Telecom’s “XLex Web” service. At the same time, a print media campaign was launched to promote the Nokia 6070 which offered free Java games as a bonus for signing up.
Since XCome launched XLex Web in June, various creative campaigns to promote XLex Web have occurred, and this cooperation between XCome, Nokia and Chunghwa Telecom is the current highlight as it brings together all three involved parties.
About XLex Web XLex Web is an addition to XCome’s different XLex versions. This new version is aimed at users whose mobile phones do not have XLex embedded but still would like to take advantage of our solution. There are a number of cell phones which can not preload XLex because of lack of capacity. “XLex Web” overcomes this obstacle and allows every mobile phone owner to use XLex offerings by connecting to the respective operator’s site. The functions offered by XLex Web include synonyms, antonyms, related words, or history or bookmarked words.
