Press Release Summary: The City of North Myrtle Beach will begin beach re-nourishment the first week in August.
Press Release Body: The City of North Myrtle Beach will begin beach re-nourishment the first week in August. Beach erosion is a problem along the eastern seaboard and requires planned maintenance in order to keep the beaches beautiful. A company is hired by the city to come in and dredge the sand from the ocean and place it along the shore. Approximately 750,000 cubic yards will be placed. While it may seem like an unsightly view to many, it is a necessary project for our area to ensure that vacationers will always have a nice beach to visit.
