Press Release Summary: The housing crisis is over!
Press Release Body: The housing crisis is over! At least one financial analyst reports it is very likely that April 2008 marks the bottom of the U.S. housing market. The bottom does not mean prices will return to the boom of 2005, but that the trend is not getting worse.
We are reminded that the housing crisis is about three years old. Now, it is likely the housing decline will begin to correct due to affordable pricing, reports Cyril Moule-Berteaux, managing partner for Traxis Partneres LP. Prices had gotten so high that people had stopped buying. Now, prices and mortgage rates have come down while incomes have kept growing. Households that had been priced out of the market can now afford to buy.
In
past real estate declines, prices stopped falling shortly after the upswing
of the market. It is likely the inventories of unsold homes will decline and
prices will begin to level out.
