A leading baggage international shipping company has made steps to help lower the costs of flying at a key time
before the summer holiday season by opening a new luggage shipping and
retail luggage outlet in the recently refurbished London Heathrow
Terminal 4 Main Departures Concourse to help combat rising costs and
surcharges being introduced by some budget airlines.
The announcement of some budget airlines now charging a third more on luggage and
even more outlandish charges such as having to pay to use the toilet mid flight has
put many families off the thought of a cheap break away this year, especially with
money being tighter in recent years.
David Elliott, Chairman of Excess Baggage had this to say: “A lot of people,
especially family groups will no doubt feel a bit apprehensive about the extra
charges for luggage and we want to help take this stress out of the holiday period”
“We offer a range of flexible shipping options to send your excess baggage to your
holiday destination without having to worry about going over weight limits or the
number of bags. This new dedicated outlet for travellers can help them take
advantage of our wide range including baggage shipping, security bag wrap as well as
a wide range of travel goods and luggage for purchase.”
With over 25 years worth of experience and managing over 50,000 shipments each year
Excess Baggage is the premier choice for a wide range of travellers who need to send
their baggage unattended. As well as holidaymakers there are a wide range of other
customers such as students, expatriates, international removals and businessmen and
women travelling around the world or require shipping to UK and other countries.
The outlet at Terminal 4 will be selling a wide range of luggage including popular
brands as Samsonite, Carlton, Go, Trident, Roncato, Quicksilver, Kipling, Renovo,
Travelpro, Delsey, Rimowa, Trunki, Dakine, CAT and Wenger.
The unit occupies a prime location on this busy concourse, adjacent to Malaysian
Airlines, and Etihad as well as Air France, Continental and Delta. Serving up to 14m
passengers annually, Excess Baggage's new London Heathrow Terminal 4 is destined to
become a very important outlet in the Company's portfolio of 34 stores nationwide.
