The National Trust has invited the public to attend one of the many events it has organised for Father's Day on the 20th of June.

The National Trust has pieced together a vast quantity of family days out ideas that have transformed into ideal Fathers Day events.

At Castle Drogo in Devon, the National Trust is hosting a classic car weekend. Between 11am and 5pm, there will be a number of activities that the whole family can enjoy and some that are meant especially for Dads. This includes displays of classic cars, as the title of the weekend suggests, garden visits and tours. The beer tent courtesy of Red Rock Brewery gives dads the opportunity to sample a whole range of beers and is also offering lunch at £10 per person. There is an admission charge in to the event and an additional £1.50 if a child should wish to participate in making a gift for Dad.

To add variety to the occasion, the National Trust have also organised an event called Father's Day Staple Yard Tipple. This will be happening at the Belton House, Lincolnshire. Being one of the more unusual days out ideas, those who attend are rewarded with discovering the history behind the Belton House. There will be a Victorian-themed activity room aimed towards family participation as well as the opportunity to dress up in costumes from the period. Outside, there's an adventure playground that includes a tree house and a chain walk. Similarly to the event in Devon, with help from the local Belvoir Brewery, dads can indulge themselves with some free tasters of speciality beer.

A number of other events can be discovered at nationaltrust.org.uk.
