The Co-operative Motor Group has today announced an official partnership between its Haydn Road site and Notts County Football Club, which sees the business become the official preferred supplier of new cars to the Midlands club.

The initial agreement will run for the 2010/2011 season and will see The Co-operative Motor Group provide vehicles for use by the First Team Manager, Craig Short, Assistant Team Manager, Dave Kevan and the Head of Conference and Banqueting, Paul Fearon.

The trio will now be driving a Nissan Qashqai, a Chrysler 300c and a Dodge Journey, all thanks to The Co-operative Motor Group who specialise in providing high quality new and used cars across the UK.

The Co-operative Motor Group, re-branded from Sunwin Motors last year, will be promoting the partnership at their Haydn Road site, which is home to Renault, Nissan and Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealerships, through a series of joint marketing and branding initiatives. The partnership will also be promoted to Club spectators on match days and will be featured on the Notts County Football Club official site.

Notts County Chairman Ray Trew said: “This is another superb partnership that demonstrates the valuable support the Club has amongst the business community.

“The Co-operative Motor Group recognised the benefits we could bring to their business – and they filled a need we had for some quality vehicles. We hope it’s the start of a long and very successful partnership.”

Gary Dighton, General Manager at The Co-operative Motor Group, Nottingham, said:“We’re excited to become the preferred car supplier to Notts County. In-keeping with our own brand, the club has a strong heritage and is committed to caring for the community, running education and social inclusion programmes.”
