Body = This week, Thomsonfly.com launches a festive microsite, developed
by Tribal DDB, which will take the shape of an advent calendar.
Targeted emails will provide consumers with direct access to the
microsite, with a variety of
special flight and hotel offers behind each of the calendar’s
24 doors. A ‘teaser’ door of the calendar on Thomsonfly.com’s
homepage will be updated to correspond to the current date and will
offer a new deal each day.

ourselves and our agencies to come up with new creative ways to
present offers to our customers. In the run up to Christmas, we
thought we would present these offers to consumers in a particularly
seasonal way. An advent calendar is an ideal mechanic for this time
of year. Also, the calendar door on our homepage is an extremely
effective way to make our site more ‘sticky’, as it
encourages consumers to visit our site each day to open the new
door.”
This is the
latest digital activity that Tribal has completed for Thomsonfly.com,
the UK low-fares airline which is part of TUI, best known in the
UK for Thomson Holidays.

The microsite
will be promoted through banners, skyscrapers and popups across
a range of sites. In addition, emails directing customers to the
advent calendar microsite will be sent out to TUI’s databases.
