Celebration of east London celluloid arts scene returns for 11th year, with LondonTown.com announcing discounted London hotels for duration of festival.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The East End Film Festival, established in 2001, is to return on July 3rd. The week long festival now in its 11 th year will feature a wide range of premieres and vintage screenings from contemporary British and world cinema.

Among the highlights will be the revamped 1922 horror classic Nosferatu, presented at the festival with a brand new score, a collaboration between Minima, Paul Ayres' Queldryk Choral Ensemble and Hackney's own Lucy Jones. The original silent movie directed by FW Murnau - is widely regarded as a classic of German expressionism. The screening will take place outdoors at Spitalfields Market.

Also at Spitalfields, the Brit stop-motion classic short A Grand Day Out will receive a special screening, followed by a day-long course on model-making from veteran Aardman animator Jim Parkyn.

Many of the screenings will take place at Rich Mix, the 62,000 square foot complex in Shoreditch. A former sweatshop, Rich Mix has been transformed into an ultra-modern centre for entertainment and education, including a three-screen cinema and exhibition space.
