Vincent, AL, USA  February 06, 2011 – Plush Memories recently received an urgent email from Kimberly, the mother of a terminally ill child, who needed to find a bear to replace the one that was lost at St. Jude’s Hospital.  Thanks to the large number of people from all over the world who volunteer their time on Plush Memories, the bear was found within hours and was on its way home the next morning.

As soon as Kimberly’s request for help was received, Rosemary,  who writes the Plush Memories posts, emailed her Fabulous Finders with the story and the description of the bear Kimberly needed. Emails started pouring in saying they were sure the mother was wrong about the brand of the bear. By then the photos were also sent to the Finders, and her request was posted on Plush Memories. Several Finders sent the link to one for sale online they were just sure was the correct bear!

There were only hours left to go on the listing, so the owners of Plush Memories bought it and asked the seller to wait until they had the correct mailing address before shipping.  Donations to their site are used for situations like this.

Less than 24 hours after receiving the request for help, the precious bear was on its way home to be with Kimberly’s sick child.
