SWERVE Driving School Reveals the SWERVEMobile Contest Winner and New Design
After accumulating over 40,000 votes, the Washington driving school declares Jenna Lee’s car wrap design the winner of its first ever SWERVEMobile competition, granting award money to Kamiak High School.
REDMOND, Wash. – Competing with 38 total entries, the votes for the SWERVEMobile Design Contest recently were tallied, with Jenna Lee coming out the winner. The senior art student from Kamiak High School will receive a $250 cash prize as well as having her design incorporated on one of the Seattle driving school’s cars. Lee’s school will also be the beneficiary of a $250 donation.
“We wanted to send out a big thank you to all of the students who worked so hard and submitted their designs of the ultimate driver’s education car, the SWERVEMobile,” said Rick McNeely, director of interactive marketing at SWERVE. “We were very impressed with the level of talent that was demonstrated, and we had many great designs submitted.”
For Lee, the Seattle Driver’s Ed competition was a way for her to express her deep interest in art before preparing for college.
“I’m a graduating senior this year and I’m applying to five art schools in the east coast, four of which are in New York City. When I heard about the SWERVE contest I was extremely excited and my art teacher, Mrs. Barten, pushed me to give it a try—and I am so glad that I did,” said Lee. “Mrs. Barten has been like a mother figure to me for the last four years and she is the inspiration to many of my art pieces. My art class is always the highlight of my day and one of the reasons why I enjoy school.”
