December 03, 2012, 1:01 pm -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Those short of ideas on Christmas presents this year and planning an inspirational shopping trip to the big city will find a treasure trove of imaginative delights in East London this year.
From 6th until the 9th December, the East London Design Show comes to Shoreditch Town Hall on Old Street, bringing with it myriad stalls featuring jewellery, interior, textiles and independent product designers showcasing their work and providing gift ideas.
The show also boasts a special VIP evening on December 6th, from 6pm-9pm which also includes an awards ceremony, meriting the best achievements in the show's categories.
It also promises to be a refreshing change from the German Christmas which have begun to saturate the capital in December – here you are unlikely to find any bratwurst, but you should hope to discover some stylish trinkets that will please well-to-do-neighbours, fashionable friends and family members.
Shoppers heading up to the city especially can make the most of a weekend's shopping in the creative, fashion-forward Shoreditch district by searching LondonTown's range of cheap London hotels – providing discounts on some of the city's best spots.
There are a few double rooms left at the Crown Plaza London Shoreditch, located on Shoreditch High Street, giving you 4* treatment at only £77 for a night on Friday 7th December, a discount of 82%. Add the Saturday as well for £109.
Alternatively, try an apartment from Citadines Barbican, located just down the road from the famous arts centre and housing complex, from £127 per night, giving you the chance to cook and come and go as you please in the heart of the city.
