Website announces discounted hotels in London close to venues

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The London Short Film Festival is a ten-day showcase of the brightest upcoming talent on the independent film scene. It will return this January at a range of venues across the capital. To help film fans find affordable accommodation, website LondonTown.com has revealed details of a number of reduced rates for hotels in London close to many of the screenings.

The event culminates in the ‘Best Short Film Award'. Previous winners include You're The Stranger Here, a stark vision of a dystopian future, filtered through the warped mind of director Tom Geens. This year's line-up features titles like Night of the Living Docs, Lights, Camera Access and Lo-Budget Mayhem.

The LSFF is renowned for screening the darkest, most twisted and avant-garde material currently being produced. Alongside the screenings there will be workshops, training sessions, bands and various awards ceremonies. Venues include the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Curzon in Soho and the Hackney Picturehouse. The festival runs from January 6th – 15th.

To coincide with the festival, events and booking website LondonTown.com has revealed details of discounted hotels in London, many of them within walking distance of the venues. A number of the hotels participating are close to the ICA, near the Mall. The luxury Sofitel London St James Hotel, located on Waterloo Place, is offering double rooms from £245 – a 44% discount on the usual rate. The hotel is a stone's throw from the ICA.

Four minutes walk away from the ICA, the Hilton Trafalgar Hotel London – also a luxury hotel – boasts rooms within sight of Nelson's Column. When booking through LondonTown.com, guests are currently being offered a 66% discount on deluxe double rooms, bringing the nightly rate down to £150. The nearby Royal Trafalgar is offering a 53% discount on double rooms, making the cost of a night just £135.

The hotels in London featured here are available at the discounted rate exclusively via LondonTown.com. Visit the website for further information on the 2012 London Short Film Festival, and to search for more hotels in London.
