The high-glamour event takes over central London from 15th February for five busy days

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- London's status as one of the world's top fashion destinations gets another chance to be reinforced as the second of the city's Fashion Weeks comes around for its spring season.

Not content with one Fashion Week a year, London, along with the other major fashion cities, New York, Milan and Paris, now has two complementary FWs – one in September and one in February.

As always, Somerset House is the setting for the extravaganza. Expect top designers and models to flock to the event – 200 of the brightest and best from around the world - and a firmly British stance and celebration of home-grown talent.

The Exhibition at Somerset House houses over 100 ready-to-wear and accessory designers and includes The Estethica stand which highlights the best in fair-trade and ethical design, while the NEWGEN stand (sponsored by TOPSHOP) picks out the finest up-and-coming designers.

It's always a busy time, with over 5,000 visitors - fashion buyers, press and photographers - expected to attend in some description. While events tend to be invite-only you can still spot top models and designers around town while it's on.

If you're coming for the event, check out LondonTown.com for London hotels at great prices. Go ultra-glam at the 5* One Aldwych, which has doubles from £290, just a short walk from Somerset House. Or try 60% off The Grand at Trafalgar Square on Trafalgar Square, with 4* doubles from £119. http://www.LondonTown.com
