July 09, 2013, 2:58 pm -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Visitors to London this summer are in for a treat as the brilliant Camden Fringe will be taking place for the eighth year in succession. This fantastic mix of comedy, theatre and music now involves over 180 productions at 17 venues across the borough of Camden. Tickets are now on sale for this year's Camden Fringe and there is more information on LondonTown.com, which is also the best site for anybody who is looking to find a cheap hotel in London this summer.
The Camden Fringe, which began in 2006, takes place between 29 July and 25 August. It includes a wide variety of acts, including both up-and-coming and well-established comedians, opera singers, experimental theatre, one-person shows, puppet shows and many more. It is held at a huge number of venues that are located all over north-west London, including a pirate castle, Jewish Cultural Centre and the Canal Café Theatre, which can be found above a pub in the picturesque environment of Little Venice. The Fringe's headquarters was the Etcetera Theatre, a lovable theatre located above a bar in the bustling surroundings of Camden High Street.
The Fringe was created as a rival to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which takes place in Scotland in August, and some of the acts use Camden as a warm-up before heading north. It presents a great opportunity to see outstanding and memorable performances as well as explore the buzzing area of Camden, where the canal, market and lively high street ensure there is always something to see or do.
