Travco Named No. 1 Travel Company For The 17th Year

October 11, 2013, 8:30 am -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- On the occasion of the World Tourism Day, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism held a festive ceremony under the patronage of Minister Hesham Zaazou on the 30 th of September where outstanding performers in the various industry segments were awarded. The Travco Group companies were the honorees of prestigious awards in recognition of several of its tourism, hotel and cruise establishments.

Travco's relentless efforts to promote Egyptian Tourism have been culminated by the Ministry's “No. 1 Travel Company” award for the 17 th year in a row. Travco Travel has generated the highest tourism revenue to the country by attracting more than one million tourists for 2012. The award was received by Mrs. Amani El Torgoman, chief operating officer Travco Group - travel and transportation companies.

Additionally Touring International, another Travco Group subsidiary, received the award for occupying the 9 th position amongst the awarded travel companies and the award was presented to Ehab Wanas, Tourism Manager.

Another award of excellence was presented to Amgad El Gendy, General Manager Travco Transport and Limousine companies in recognition for the company's stringent safety measures and its consistently reliable service across its fleet.

On the floating hotels side, an award was presented to the 5-star deluxe Nile Cruise ship, Steigenberger Legacy, and was received by Amin Abdel Moneim, regional manager for Travcotels.
