-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Celebrating the opening of its new and renovated spaces, Tate Britain is hosting a House Warming Party on Saturday 23 rd November, bringing together music, art, fashion and film. Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) will present an electropop DJ set; Salon London brings together physicist David Tong, food historian Leonie Sooke and the musician Juliet Russell in a series of talks; fashion designer Emma Yeo hosts a workshop; and the open-mic film night hosts, Kino, present films inspired by the collections of Tate Britain. For visitors travelling from outside of London, a great selection of cheap London hotels can be found on LondonTown.com.

More than 100 pieces from the private collection of late British patron of fashion and art, Isabella Blow, are now on display in the Embankment Galleries at Somerset House. Among these extraordinary garments will also be pieces by some of the designers she discovered, including Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy and Julien Macdonald, and one Blow's most famous and successful shoots, 'Anglo Saxon Attitudes'.

Opening on Friday 22 nd November, Turner and the Sea at the National Maritime Museum is the first large-scale exhibition to examine JMW Turner's lifelong pre-occupation with the sea. The display brings together pieces from collections across the world and features around sixty oil paintings, approximately half by Turner, and the same number of watercolours. More art can be enjoyed at the Wimbledon Art Studios open weekend, which provides the public with the rare opportunity to meet the artists within their own creative spaces and to buy their work commission free.

This weekend also provides the chance to experience the perfect Sunday. At Sunday Papers Live: Second Edition, which takes place at Cecil Sharp House in north London, there will be no paper cuts from wrestling with the broadsheets and no roast potatoes courtesy of Aunt Bessie. Instead, the broadsheets will be brought to life by the likes of Jon Snow, Andrew Maxwell and Alison Kervin, and the roast dinner will be cooked by Chef Tom Hunt. The Breakfast Club will also be in attendance to serve brunch and The Flames of Rhythm provide the music.
