Ollie Dabbous follows up hugely successful eponymous restaurant with rustic new Fitzrovia venture.

LONDON, -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Ollie Dabbous and Oskar Kinberg were responsible for Dabbous, a restaurant which generated such hype that for some time it was virtually impossible to book a table there, so their next venture was always likely to attract plenty of attention. Two years after that restaurant opened to widespread critical acclaim Dabbous and Kinberg are set to open Barnyard, just around the corner on Charlotte Street.

The restaurant is set to open in March and anyone familiar with the seemingly impossible task of securing a table at Dabbous might be interested to learn that Barnyard will be walk-ins only. Check LondonTown.com for more details of the opening as well as updates and booking information for all the latest London restaurants.

The new venture will be run by general manager Charlie Bolton, a veteran of Dabbous and ex-manager of the similarly popular Burger and Lobster in Mayfair and Head Chef Joseph Woodland, formerly of Kensington institution Launceton Place.

True to its name, Barnyard promises a rustic theme that will be evident in both the design – reclaimed timber and tin will feature heavily in the interior and diners can expect their meal to be accompanied by a soundtrack that will take in country, blues and folk – and most importantly the food.

The menu will feature simple but carefully prepared dishes like homemade sausage rolls with piccalilli, roast beef on toast with warm horseradish buttermilk, and sweets such as apple and cloudberry crumble with clotted cream, and bananas and custard. In other words straightforward but delicious comfort food executed with the sort of innovative flair that has so far characterised Dabbous' young career.
