The tagage.net online portal, was set up by Hansaprint in 2009, is an important online platform for NFC products. For TUOMI, this acquisition is a major step forward in developing an international marketplace for NFC products.
TagAge is a leading international brand for NFC stickers, print integration and NFC pro-gramming solutions. As one of the first portals to operate at a global scale, today it pro-vides products and services to customers in up to 50 countries. TUOMI, previously a supplier of mainly small and medium enterprises SME, has now has the capacity to de-liver to large scale customers on the enterprise-level market (B2B). TUOMI already con-ducts or supports NFC-related projects worldwide.
The acquisition of TagAge drives forward TUOMI's global strategy of integrated services of the entire NFC ecosystem covering end-to-end of NFC applications, from NFC tags through to cloud services and mobile solutions. With TagAge, TUOMI can now expand its customer base at global level.
As Arja Tuomi-Roos, TUOMI's principal shareholder, emphasises, "Acquiring TagAge means that TUOMI can now drive forward its internationally focused business.
