Daytona, OH, September 01, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Kevin Christofora (a.k.a. Coach Kevin), Little League Coach, father and author of the Hometown All Stars series, embarked on a 15 day, 16 state campaign - the #HTARoadTrip featuring the popular #FindCoachKevin contest - to promote Christofora’s children’s book series about baseball and sports. The social media road trip took Christofora and his personal “All Stars” (his family) to ball parks and attractions across the USA – giving out prizes along the way (Photos: http://bit.ly/1JhIQ7s) before returning to NY for their hometown team’s game and a HUGE promotion and stadium wide book giveaway there (Photos: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/h9z1y0fdpq5kye7/AACKLhIYNXgULdYsTySlIyv6a?dl=0).

While on the road challenges arose – their was RV broken into, it broke down a few days later as well, leaving the family late for one game and in need of tickets for another. They were assisted through social media, receiving car assistance, getting recommendations on where to go and what to see (#HometownHangouts), and even finding MLB tickets 15 minutes through Twitter.

Coach Kevin returned the favor by handing out prizes at each stop to his #HometownFans, from MLB game tickets and team sports jerseys to local team swag, restaurant and attraction gift certificates and more.

Through photos and clues along the way, social media followers were also invited to try to #FindCoachKevin as he visited new places each day. It was a race to the finish line with two social media fans going head-to-head to finally track him down in Cleveland, Ohio where they found him at Progressive Field just minutes apart at the Indians game (#GoTribe!). Both were rewarded with grand prizes.

Overall the road trip and its associated hashtags, #HTARoadTrip, #FindCoachKevin, and #HometownHangouts, received over a half a million impressions over the 15 day trip through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Coach Kevin’s first foray into Periscope on the trip also received attention from high profile accounts including the Today Show and others who tuned in to see where he would be going next.
