Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica, October 26, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Outback Jacks internationally known restaurant in the tropics of Costa Rica can be won by writing an essay
In Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica, Penny and Jack Williams, the owners of Outback Jack’s Beach Bar N Grill, are finally retiring to write their books. Rather than selling their internationally known restaurant, they thought it would be a lot more fun to run an essay contest for someone to win the restaurant. Everyone has dreams!
This one could become reality
The participants will only have to write an essay of 300 words or less to get a chance to become the happy owner of Outback Jack’s Beach Bar N Grill. The subject is simple: tell why you would like to own the restaurant and live in Paradise in Costa Rica. Essay has to be posted on the dedicated website before December 15th, 2015. The entry Fee is only US$ 175 per essay.
Also prizes will be awarded to the Top ten finalists. It will be a US$ 3000 all inclusive round trip ticket to Costa Rica, for a fun filled week of exciting adventures to end with the announcement of the winning essay during Saturday night festivities. Airfare, accommodation, food, and tropical drinks plus a side trip to Panama are included. The winner gets an ongoing business and can enjoy the beautiful beaches and jungle surroundings.
A Restaurant to win and much more
Outback Jack’s Beach Bar N Grill is located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica. It is just a stone throw from the beautiful Caribbean Sea…This area is a true tropical paradise. It has a unique simplistic lifestyle, surrounded with jungle, palm trees, and wild life in abundance: monkeys, sloths, birds, toucans, crocodiles, jaguars, frogs…
The Winner does not only get Outback Jack’s Beach Bar N Grill. There is a lot more to come with it, such as: a rum, tequila and beer garden + fully equipped (all furnishing, seats for about 200 people, bar, artifacts, antiques, well equipped kitchen, prep kitchen, pantry, commercial fridges) + one year lease paid in advance + US$ 10 000 for running expenses + fully trained crew + all licenses and permits in place + the name (Outback Jack’s is known throughout the country and internationally) + the website dedicated to the restaurant and a period of training and the help from the previous owners. The restaurant itself has 2 floors (the second floor can be used for private parties or can be converted to a sports bar or accommodation), and a top part, on a leased property.
The restaurant is going to remain open as usual during the contest. It will be ready to operate when the property is transferred to the Essay Contest Winner.
The history of the owners and of the restaurant
Penelope and Jack Williams have operated the Outback Jack’s Beach Bar N Grill for 7 years. They moved to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca three years ago. During that time, the place has won a serious reputation for good food, service, and funky ambiance. Penelope and Jack are not just restaurant owners; they have become friends to many of their regular customers.
Outback Jack’s Beach Bar N Grill gets local and international relaxed customers. The food served consists of barbecued steaks, ribs, tasty little chicken wings, Aussie burgers and fresh fries, sautéed vegetables, roasted potatoes, salads, homemade sauces and soups, fresh sea food, whole fried red snappers, crab cakes, local dishes… always with an effort made on the flavor and presentation. A variety of cocktails is also served: margarita, pina colada, daiquiri… The restaurant has a very positive cash flow.
Special events take place for Halloween, the 4th of July, Super bowl final, Mardi Gras, New Year’s Eve and any other excuse to have a party.
Penelope and Jack truly enjoyed running Outback Jack’s. But they now want to take time to write books about all the adventures they have been through all around the world (first one will be “Always On The Edge – While flying by the seat of our pants”).
It is time for someone to take over.
