Chooses Sasaki Associates to Design Park

[CARY, NC] – The North Carolina Veterans Freedom Park Foundation announced today it has hired Sasaki Associates, Inc., to provide full design services for the new 11-acre park centrally located in the heart of North Carolina. When complete, the park will be a patriotic theme-based community center including multimedia-based memoirs of veterans and public artwork designed to symbolize the value of freedom and to honor the hundreds of thousands of military veterans throughout North Carolina and millions more across the nation.
Initial plans feature an educational/exhibit facility, walking trails, amphitheater, and a ceremonial plaza. Sasaki Associates will round out the design with services including landscape architecture, architecture, interior design, planning, civil engineering, and urban design.“Working with Sasaki Associates ensures that the Veterans Freedom Park will be the showcase that it truly deserves to be,” said Dick Ladd, chairperson of the North Carolina Veterans Freedom Park Foundation. “Their ability to make meaningful connections through design will make a recognizable difference on this project
dedicated to our country’s veterans.”
