Press Release Summary: VEGA and Salamander to deliver a unified message of best practice to support the implementation of Through Life Capability Management (TLCM) for the UK MoD at this year's RUSI C4ISTAR Conference
Press Release Body: VEGA Group PLC (VEGA), the specialist Professional Services Company, together with The Salamander Organisation (TSO), will deliver a unified message of best practice to support the implementation of Through Life Capability Management (TLCM) for the UK MoD at this year’s RUSI C4ISTAR Conference.
The conference concept, “Operational Requirements for the Next 5 Years” examines the issues facing the successful delivery UK C4ISTAR capability. The challenges include austere operational requirements, a finite defence budget and the implementation of Through Life Capability Management (TLCM) within the UK’s Defence Acquisition Change Programme. In such an environment, the ability to make the informed acquisition decisions is paramount if the most effective military capability is to be acquired for the frontline commands.
VEGA Government & Defence Director, Peter Armstrong and TSO Chief Technology Officer, Dick Whittington will jointly present to the main conference. They will deliver a presentation proposing how the two companies, in conjunction with Defence Prime BAE Systems, can enable the MoD’s C4ISTAR acquisition stakeholders to understand and visualise the true value of the future C4ISTAR capability portfolio, across all Defence Lines of Development. VEGA and TSO are confident that their solution will reduce the workload of those charged with making difficult procurement decisions and instill confidence that that these decisions will deliver the comprehensive C4ISTAR capability as demanded by the Front Line Commands.
VEGA supports the C4ISTAR community in the specification, acquisition, security, integration and deployment of through-life, network-enabled capability, to ensure that it delivers the operational benefits for which it is intended. The company is a main sponsor of the RUSI C4ISTAR conference which takes place at the Five Lakes Resort, Maldon, Essex, on 17 and 18 October. VEGA and TSO will be speaking on the conference alongside C4ISTAR stakeholders including: Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, Lt Gen Andrew Figgures CBE; Capability Manager (Information Superiority), AVM Stu Butler; Director Equipment Capability (Command, Control, and Information Infrastructure), Brig Simon Shadbolt; and Director Equipment Capability (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance), Air Cmdre ‘Flash’ Gordon.
