Release Summary: Henley Management College unveil their new Mastering
Leadership programme to help those in senior leadership positions
develop their capacity for creating vibrant organisations
Press
Release Body: Henley Management College is widely
regarded as one of the global thought leaders in management and
have recently disclosed the details of their new programme, Mastering
Leadership.
The
aim of the three day Mastering
Leadership programme is to help
those in senior leadership positions develop their capacity for
creating vibrant organisations through simulation exercises and
constructive feedback on leadership performance from programme
leaders as well as from other programme members. Henley
has commented that the programme is designed to confront, challenge
and stretch top leadership skills in a confidential environment
away from organisational commitments and distractions.
The
programme, which will have its pilot run in mid-July, with further
dates in March and December of 2009, is appropriate for highly
experienced and senior leaders with a minimum of eight years'
experience in challenging leadership and business
management roles. Henley is expecting the
programme to attract a diverse range of individuals from varied
and geographically diverse organisations, with hopes that this
breadth of leadership profile and leadership experience will greatly
benefit the learning experience of all the participants.
Focusing
on several aspects of business management and leadership, Henley’s
new programme will feature learning in areas such as effective
use of power and authority in complex organisations, sustaining
self-supporting and self-managing teams in rapidly changing organisational
conditions and harnessing organisational values as a foundation
for decision-making, all integral parts of modern management.
An
important aspect of Henley’s new programme
is the fact that participants are only given a general frame-work
to follow, with maximum freedom and choice over how to use the
programme available, allowing each programme member to build their
strengths and develop weaker skills. The programme leaders will
follow the direction taken by programme members and give support
to and feedback on their learning initiatives. This type of experiential
learning has won Henley Management College many
accolades for their management
programmes in the past, from both domestic and international
organisations.
