DirectRooms.com has recently learned that the annual Agip Rallye di Vienna has been confirmed for September 4th, 2010.

More than 200 vintage automobiles will roll into the city for the event, which draws thousands of visitors each year.

Spectators usually line the Ringstrasse to watch the classic cars make their way from the Schloss Wilhelminenberg palace to the festival grounds on Heldenplatz. At night, Vienna’s Prater Park, the world’s oldest amusement park, hosts a full schedule of evening entertainment.

There is no admission charge for spectators at the Agip Rallye di Vienna, though there is a fee to enter the Vienna Prater.

Located in the heart of Europe, the historic city of Vienna offers much to see and do both before and after the vintage cars arrive for the Agip Rallye.

Visitors can stroll the wide boulevards, marvelling at the Baroque imperial architecture and sampling some of the region’s world-famous chocolate.

Second to none for cultural pursuits, Vienna is home to the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna State Opera, the MUMOK modern art museum, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the unconventional architecture of Hundertwasser’s Kunsthaus Wien, and the trendy MuseumsQuartier.

“There is certainly lots of excitement in anticipation of this year’s Agip Rallye di Vienna,” said Lek Boonlert, head of marketing with DirectRooms.com. “With so much to see and do in Vienna already, visitors will be spoilt for choice come September.”

To get a great rate on a hotel Vienna travellers should book early, before the crowds.
