A fascinating exhibition in Paris looks at the relationship between Science and Fiction, with some intriguing insight offered.

The show is being held at the French capital's Cite des Sciences et de l'Industrie until July 3rd 2011 and could be a great activity for people heading to hotels in Paris with their families.

Among the items attendees will be able to look through are pieces from comics, cinema and literature that showcase the link between academic science and the creative output of science fiction writers.

Visitors from nearby accommodation such as the Hotel Residence Villiers Paris will also be able to learn about current technologies and peruse rare books provided by the Bibliotheque Nationale de France.

"Stroll through a collection of objects used for filming movies and cult TV series and discover the unexpected influences and reciprocity between science and science fiction," remarked the organisers.

Admission to the installation costs €11 (£9.45), but concessions are available and children under six years old get in free.

Tickets will also allow visitors to check out a 3D film at the Louis Lumiere cinema and view the Explora exhibition at the complex.

Opening hours at the facility are Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:00 to 18:00 local time and Sundays between 10:00 and 19:00.
