The new released Pavtube ByteCopy offers flexible and multiple choices of audio tracks and subtitles when backing up protected Blu-ray Discs and DVDs to MKV file format for playback on PC and HD media players like Seagate FreeAgent Theater, WD TV Live media player, Popcorn Hour NMT C-200, etc.

Commercial Blu-ray Disc/DVD contains multiple audio and subtitle streams. When backing up BD/DVD common file formats like MP4 and AVI, only one audio track and one subtitle stream can be retained. Different from other file format, the open standard multimedia container format Maroska (MKV) can store multiple video/audio tracks with all meta-information and preserve chapters and thus is widely supported by HD media players and portable devices.

By copying and packaging Blu-ray Disc/DVD streams into MKV file format, Pavtube ByteCopy lets users get all video clips, audio streams and subtitles in one MKV file. High quality TrueHD and DTS-MA audio can be directly copied from BD without transcoding, and transported to AV receivers in 5.1 or 7.1 channels for lossless surround sound effects. Having multiple choices of audio and subtitles allows for a fuller, more enriching, viewing experience.

In addition, Pavtube ByteCopy can transcode video stream, audio track and subtitle stream separately for user’s convenience. Lossless video quality can be retained when TrueHD/DTS-MA audio is down converted to Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS 5.1 audio. This ensures proper playback of Blu-ray contents on earlier devices that do not support 7.1 channels.

Key features:
1. Reads DVD and Blu-ray movies from disc, folder, and image file
2. Cracks Blu-ray discs with latest versions of AACS and BD+ protections
3. Backups protected DVD and BD movie to free MKV files in two steps
Preserves all video streams, audio tracks, and subtitle without losing quality by default Keeps audio tracks and subtitles of selected languages and leaves others out by preference
4. Converts HD audio (TrueHD, DTS-MA) to more acceptable AC-3 and DTS 5.1 audio when it necessary. Copies BD/DVD as fast as your drive can read data
