Rambert Dance Company Celebrates Birthday at Sadler’s Wells

Dance company will reimagine Nijinksy for 85th anniversary event.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Legendary dance troupe Rambert is to perform a handful of dates this May at Sadler's Wells Theatre. Artistic director Mark Baldwin has updated Nijinksy's century-old ‘L'Apres-midi d'un Faune' under the title ‘What Wild Ecstasy'.

The music is being supplied by Gavin Higgins, who is also updating the original Debussy score with his own take. His music will be set to Rambert's choreography, creating a new ballet to mark the centenary of Nijinsky's great work.
