ChunksHouse.com was inspired by a Putnam County Florida pet hoarding case in July of 2015. Over 60 dogs were rescued from inside a single wide trailer with other various animals. The substantial number of pets recovered placed a heavy burden on the already over crowed shelters. This case made national news with animals being sheltered as far as New York and Texas. The owner of ChunksHouse.com was made aware of the social problems of pet hoarding cases when she adopted one of the dogs and wanted to create a site that could help bring awareness to these shelter pets.

Philanthropy

ChunksHouse.com wants to give back to the pet community. They recognize the importance of shelters. and rescue organizations that dedicate resources to the rehabilitation and housing of unwanted, abandoned, abused or stray pets. ChunksHouse.com is developing a donation program that supports shelter organizations during sudden unexpected overcrowding from pet hoarding.
