Ronald Sachs Violins Reveals 2nd Ronald Sachs International Music Competition

Lilburn, GA, 2018-Apr-20 — /EPR Network/ — With great excitement, Ronald Sachs Violins announces the 2nd Ronald Sachs International Music Competition will take place May 12th-13th. The competition will be held in Beckwith Recital Hall on the campus of The University of North Carolina Wilmington. Ronald Sachs, Owner of Ronald Sachs Violins, stated, “Last year, the competition boasted incredible talent. I am looking forward to seeing promising young musicians being empowered once again this year.”

The competition welcomes piano, strings, brass, and woodwind musicians, ages 13-19. The deadline to enter is April 15th. All submissions must provide a YouTube URL of their audition to be assessed by a panel of judges. The audition video must include a minimum of two contrasting pieces to showcase the applicant’s versatility. Further specifications are provided for applicants at www.ronaldsachsimc.com.

Aspiring musicians will gain the experience of performing in a prestigious recital hall, judged by world renowned judges from major music schools. At its conception, the competition was created to find young musicians to foster and grow towards promising careers. “There is a wealth of talent in young musicians waiting to be accessed and encouraged. This competition can be the launching point for their careers. We can make the connections which will lead the students to esteemed music programs and professional performance opportunities around the globe,” Sachs said.

From the applicants, nine aspiring musicians, three from each instrument division, are selected to perform their audition pieces during a live audition. After the live audition, one finalist from each category is selected to be part of the finals. The finalists will then perform in a public concert. There is only one grand prize winner, but all three finalists will receive a cash prize. In addition, the finalists will be invited to perform at the Ronald Sachs International Music Competition in 2019.
