Press Release Summary = Let's Flirt! - A workshop to feel great about yourself For men and women aged 20-30 Presented by Yaro I Starak and Alison Pearl Brisbane, Queensland, Australia – March 4, 2005

Press Release Body = A new workshop to be held in Brisbane, Australia, promises to change preconceptions about flirting, connecting and meeting people.

Yaro I Starak, co-facilitator of the workshop, promises the session will “help participants to connect with greater ease, joy, and confidence, develop rapid rapport, initiate conversations, and generate greater vitality and self-esteem.”

A former lecturer at the University of Queensland, Mr. Starak is now a highly sought-after ‘Flirting Coach’ who was recently featured in the Australian Courier Mail newspaper (October 26, 2004).

“The workshop will deal with Flirting Skills, including listening and responding, body awareness and non-verbal communication, and promote energetic connecting with another,” said Mr. Starak.

“It will also take participants through the ‘don’ts of flirting’, flirting in different settings and developing self-confidence as a flirt, and will emphasize
giving and receiving positive feedback,” he said.

The workshop will reportedly develop a flirting model for men and for women, and discuss the difference between sensual and sexual flirting.

“Our aim for the session is to help participants develop a new belief system, reduce anxiety, and increase assertiveness,” said Mr. Starak. “We also want to provide plenty of opportunities for participants to practice their newly acquired skills and interact with others.”

Although the first flirting workshop in Brisbane is aimed at 20-30 year olds, future workshops will be offered for other age specific groups. Mr. Starak reports that a second workshop is currently being planned for the 30-40 year old group.

“Their experience in life and love is more substantial and complex, so a workshop for this more senior group will also incorporate exercises to combat negative self-image, depression, and fear of repeated failure in relationships,” Mr. Starak
said.

The underlying philosophy of the flirting workshops, says Mr. Starak, “is that there is a great deal of crossover between good listening skills and good flirting skills. However, the "romantic spark" aspect of flirting distinguishes it from standard "good listening“”.

“This workshop promises to help participants identify this difference and set personal goals for their human interactions.”
