Blue Ocean Sushi & Robata Grill, from the owners of Love Boat Sushi, will open in Carlsbad, CA and provide sushi patrons with a new dining experience outside of the typical sushi restaurant.
Jaime Partners broke ground on the 3,000-square-foot sushi restaurant and grill early July 2013, and brought on Los Angeles design team Bells & Whistles to work alongside them on the project. Jaime Partners will provide project planning, management and design development for Blue Ocean Sushi & Robata Grill from start to finish, while working closely with the owners to achieve the exact design concept and vision at hand.
This restaurant project is very precise, similar to others we have managed in the past, says Alfredo Jaime, partner and co-founder of Jaime Partners. Blue Ocean has a specific design aesthetic that we are making a priority in this build-out. The new sushi spot will encompass an artistically edgy Japanese style, completely unlike Love Boat Sushi or any other sushi restaurant in the area. Blue Ocean aims to be different, and we are committed to making it that way.
While the owners are highly experienced in Japanese style and culture, Blue Ocean Sushi & Robata Grill aims to steer clear of the typical sushi experience, such as its sister restaurant, Love Boat Sushi. Featuring a robata grill, guests will also have the option to enjoy a traditional Japanese style cuisine cooked over a hot charcoal-burning grill. The layout and design of the restaurant will be unique and noteworthy, from its logo to the contemporary style of the tables and chairs. With a focus in origami and angular design features, Blue Ocean Sushi & Robata Grill will be an experience that newcomers and seasoned sushi lovers can enjoy.
Blue Ocean Sushi & Robata Grill will be located at 2958 Madison Street in Carlsbad, CA. and is scheduled to open in Fall 2013.
