Toronto, September 30, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Judy O’Beirn has spent the last seven years helping hundreds of authors become bestsellers in her role as president of Hasmark Services. More recently she has become an author and creator of a book of short stories titled Unwavering Strength. She decided to write the book when her husband, Gerry, became ill with cancer and ultimately passed away from the disease in 2012, to help her channel her grief. He was the last of six family members who lost their battles with cancer in quick succession.

Unwavering Strength is a compilation of stories designed to help people find strength and comfort in the journeys others have taken through experiences of grief, loss, trauma and heartache.

From illness, tragedy, and loss to phobias, daring escapes, and bullying—these heartfelt stories are about vastly different experiences, but all share a similar theme: the strength and power to overcome all types of adversity lie within each one of us.

These stories were written to inspire others to find strength within themselves. Each author concludes his or her story with a special message. Kellie Bishop, author of "H.O.P.E.," writes, “Compassion. Love. Faith. Prayer. Forgiveness. Peace. This was the tonic that healed my heart and brought me the courage to carry on.” Brian Bogardus, author of "Believe," writes, “My wish for each of you is this: Be fully present in every relationship. Appreciate people’s little quirks. Slow down and say, "I love you and I appreciate you.’” Emmanuel Dagher, author of "The First Seven Years," writes: “It helps me to trust that every challenge in our lives is an opportunity for expansion; a chance to manifest the inner peace and trust that brings out our own unwavering strength, and helps us align more with our greatest potential.” Tina Dietz, author of "The Bully’s Gift" writes, “Since I can’t change the past, I might as well use those painful experiences and lessons in ways that make a difference rather than hold me back. I claimed my freedom to choose my response, and I continue to choose to be powerful and loving rather than frozen in fear.”

The creation of Unwavering Strength has been a source of great comfort and courage to Judy. She experienced the intense pain of losing many loved ones in a short amount of time. But rather than let grief swallow her up, Judy focused her energy and sorrow on finding ways to help others experiencing similar loss and trauma. This included raising money for families suffering from cancer and establishing an annual golf tournament that benefits families in need.

In this book, you will discover true, authentic courage. A variety of strong individuals have come forth to share their darkest times designed to bring light to others.

George Meyer, producer and writer for The Simpson’s, says, “"The writers of this book have experienced profound grief. They hope their hard-won wisdom can light the way for others."

The second volume in this truly inspiring collection, Unwavering Strength: Stories to Warm Your Heart & Soul, will be released in February 2015.
Judy will donate a percentage of the proceeds from the Unwavering Strength website and book sales to help families suffering from tragedy and loss.
