2022Flushing, NY, March 12, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Operatic soprano Andrea Plamondon announced the release of her latest EP 'Lady Of The Leaves,' a trilogy of sacred and popular arias with original arrangements by TV and film composer Charlie Barnett. Recorded and produced at Capitol Studios, the EP features the Akademia Music Awards (Los Angeles) winning song "Nella Fantasia." The EP is slated for digital release on March 2nd, followed by a physical CD release.
In awarding the 'Best Opera Cover Song' title for 'Nella Fantasia,' the Akademia Music Awards noted "Andrea Plamondon's exquisite and passionate vocal delivery breathes new energy into this opera classic and transports listeners to a place of sublime aural beauty.'
Plamondon is an "artist in many genres" whose work has been described as, "diverse, atmospheric and compelling". Reflecting this diversity, the Akademia Music Awards also awarded her 'Best Rap Electronica Song' for "Dreams," the result of a transoceanic collaboration with rapper and Hip-Hop artist Terbleos of Ghana Africa called 'Safffra'. Beginning on March 1st, both award winning songs will be in rotation on KXRL Radio Los Angeles, KEDG Radio Sydney, KHSX Radio Houston, WLDN Radio London, WMIC Radio Miami.
Andrea Plamondon has performed leading roles in theatrical productions on the east and west coasts, and has fronted original bands in many of San Francisco's most popular clubs and venues. Her songs have been featured on radio and internet radio around the world, and have been included in various compilations, including two Woa Records releases produced and conceptualized by MTV Europe Music Awards Nominee Oliver Sean.
Currently, the opera singer is working on a video, and on new works with Irish based film and television composer Connor Hutton.
