Baltimore, MD, August 5, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc. (SCDAA) announces the 2015 partners who’s generous contributions will benefit the 2nd Annual National Sickle Cell Walk with the Stars event to be held August 29, 2015 at the SCDAA Headquarters in Halethorpe, Maryland. The list of sponsors includes Pfizer, Novartis, M&T Bank, and the Top Ladies of Distinction. The generosity of these partners is greatly appreciated and will help SCDAA provide support to individuals and families suffering from sickle cell disease.

About the Walk with the Stars Event
The 2nd Annual National Walk with the Stars will take place Saturday August 29, 2015 at the SCDAA Headquarters in Halethorpe, MD. The event will have 3 heats. Race participants have the option to choose from 1 mile & 2 mile walk courses and a 5K run course. After the walk participants are invited to attend a fun-filled afternoon of music, entertainment, food trucks, vendors, games and prizes. Proceeds from the event will benefit research, treatment, support services and programs for members of the sickle cell community nationwide. Individuals not located in the Maryland area may choose to participate virtually, or at a local walk held by an SCDAA chapter.
