The Maggie Flanigan Studio, New York City's most prestigious and highly regarded regarded Meisner training program, is accepting applications for the class that begins in January 2016. The Studio has three tiers of programming to choose from, designed and tailored to fit each students specific training needs.

Now in its 15th year, the Maggie Flanigan Studio has established itself as a home for artists who are serious about the craft of acting. The Studio has three tiers of programming to choose from, designed and tailored to fit each students specific training needs. In addition to stellar programming, the Maggie Flanigan Studio is excited to celebrate the anniversary of Executive Director & Head of Acting, Charlie Sandlan. The Studio is also thrilled to announce the addition of faculty member Karen Chamberlain, who will teach the January Meisner class.

2016 marks the Maggie Flanigan Studio's 15th year since established in the fall of 2001, and 10 years since Charlie Sandlan began mentoring under Maggie Flanigan to become a teacher. Charlie now serves as the Studio's Executive Director & Head of Acting. He teaches all Fall First-Year Acting classes and all Second-Year Technique classes. Karen Chamberlain, will teach January's First-Year class. She will also coach all Second-Year Impediment workshops and teach all Second-Year auxiliary classes, including Cold Reading, Monologue and Film/TV. Both Charlie Sandlan and Karen Chamberlain received their Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where they were trained in the Meisner technique by Maggie Flanigan and William Esper.

The Maggie Flanigan Studio, is New York City's most prestigious Professional Actor Training Program. Students are trained in the Meisner technique under Executive Director & Head of Acting, Charlie Sandlan. After completing the whole of Meisner's two-year acting technique, MFS students may continue their training in Master Class with Artistic Director & Master Teacher, Maggie Flanigan. The Maggie Flanigan Studio offers three programs of study: Meisner Acting Only, and the Core Training Program (Meisner, Movement, and Voice & Speech), as well as the Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) which is modeled after some of the best Graduate Programs in the United States.
