Paradores in Spain and Pousadas in Portugal offer a 35% discount (or more) for guests over 60 years staying in their historic hotels

Press Release Summary = The Paradores and Pousadas are government supported hotels in old castles, palaces etc. in Portugal and Spain. Outside the peak holiday season guests over the age of 60 are entitled to a promotional discount. The Paradores offer 35% discount and the Pousadas 40%. Other promotions are also available. Restrictions on the hotel, date and availability do apply.

These government assisted hotels do not compete with commercial hotels and are not in the centre of large cities.

The Paradores have the condition that the promotion must be requested when making the reservation and prior to your arrival at the Parador. Breakfast must be included in the reservation. There is a calendar showing when the promotion is available, There is limited availability in July, August and September and at weekends.

The promotion in the Pousadas is restricted to certain Pousadas and is not available in certain months
