The David Zack Holmes website set out to recognize 1 person each 6 months for the good they do. "It's something that I have a real passion for, something I believe we all should do, that is recognize people for their randon acts of kindness," said David Holmes, website creator and inspirational author.

There is no cash prize--only a simple framed certificate will be awarded to 1 person. The unique honor in this award is the votes are cast by people who work to enhance their lives through inspiration and those who recognize and honor kind acts.

"We've had a number of unique votes, like Stephanie Powers for her work in helping animals, right down to someone's Aunt Margaret for taking in orphaned children," said David Zack Holmes.

A panel of judges have been named to go over each story submitted for the Beneficence Award. Voting will end on December 20th and the judges will make their decision by December 30th. The winner will be announced on December 31, 2005.

There is no ceremony, there is no red carpet, and no paparazzi, the winner will have only the honor of knowing that someone believes in their efforts and appreciates all they do.
