Press
Release Body: Kate Moss first released her own
designs for Topshop in May 2007, and the much anticipated
Spring/Summer collection by Kate Moss for Topshop
has been launched in stores.
This
year's Kate
Moss Summer Collection looks set to be her most exciting
yet, channelling a bohemian traveller with global influences from
Ibiza, Miami, India and beyond to create the perfect summer party
look.
Dresses
are the staple of Kate's summer wardrobe for Topshop.
Exquisite feather-weight chiffon dresses and tops
appear in a palette of dusty hues, Aztec prints or 1940s florals.
Fluid jersey is printed with hand drawn nautical inspired stripes,
native American feather print or embroidered with intricate patterns.
Gypsy
inspired broderie anglaise adorns a midnight blue mini dress and
antique white smock top, delicately embroidered with cornflower
blue stitching. Mini tunic dresses and capelets are trimmed with
tiny glass bugle beading while a silk patchwork print dress with
a cut-about hem is inspired by silk scarves. 1950's prom-style cotton
dresses are knife pleated, in sherbet yellow and green and white
striped seersucker.
Kate’s
spring outerwear includes bolero-shaped cropped
jackets made in pin-striped cotton twill, butter-soft slate
grey leather or softly printed silk. An oversized boyfriend navy
blue blazer, on the other hand, is finished with an embroidered
anchor motif badge.
Bottoms
evoke a 70s influence as pinstriped denim jeans fall into a kick
flare and shorts in lace-up cotton and washed denim go even shorter
for Spring/Summer 08. Accessories are highlighted by the Ibiza Sandal
- Kate's own fashion-forward take on gladiator sandals.
Dramatic
eveningwear includes a stunning black crepe empire-line and floor
length gown with tasselled neckline, a jet black beaded flapper
dress and a floor-sweeping black printed chiffon dress with waterfall
ruffles. A Victorian matador cape trimmed with black pom-poms and
a twisted ribbon completes the collection.
The
Kate Moss Topshop range can be found at 80 solus stores
nationwide and TOPSHOP.COM, in addition to 40 of
Topshop's international franchisee stores.
