Press Release Summary: Ever want a religion that does not judge and is not to serious about anything? Well, Goofyism might be the religion for you. If you already have a religion, Gooficus is ok with that!

Press Release Body: Goofyism.org April 18, 2008 – Ben Weese was raised in a nonreligious family. His dad was raised Catholic and his mom raised Christian. After learning of the corruption in the church, his dad left, therefore Ben was never raised religious. His older brother was autistic, so Ben spent a lot of time watching his brother and helping out with special Olympics.

Anyone who hangs around special needs kids needs faith in something, so Ben began to look. He searched through many religions, even becoming a ULC minister. He, however, did not find one that fit. He wanted something that everyone could agree on, something that would show a universal truth. Thus Goofyism was born.

Goofyism is a religion based on 3 basic principles- Do not judge others, do not take things too seriously, and try to love everyone and treat them how you want to be treated. Goofiness is a way of life, it is fun to be goofy! Mark Twain inspired much of Goofyism's ideas with his teachings. Such as: "Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations and resentments slip away and a sunny spirit takes their place.” and "The best way to cheer yourself is to try to cheer someone else up." These are some of the basic principles of Goofyism.

Since Goofyism does not require you to worship Gooficus the Ridiculous over any other God and since this religion is not serious (the evil of the religion) it is free to everyone!
