Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that forms when carbon in fuel does not
burn completely. While automobiles are obvious sources of carbon monoxide, other
engines and vehicles, such as construction equipment and boats, also produce the
dangerous gas.
"Any boat or recreational vehicle that has overnight accommodations should have a

high levels of carbon monoxide may develop vision problems, flu-like symptoms
including headache and nausea, and the reduced ability to perform complex tasks. At
extremely high levels, carbon monoxide can kill.

but you shouldn't let it lull you into a false sense of security."
